Unlike electronic water-level indicators that rely on batteries and alarms, Tea Buoy is completely low-tech. It simply floats—always staying on the water surface. No sinking, no guessing, no charging.
From tea-making to touch
Tea Buoy turns a familiar tea ritual into a tactile experience. Designed from the perspective of blind users, it works naturally for both blind and sighted people—no special mode, no learning curve.
Magnetic, not fiddly
The magnetic closing mechanism aligns and snaps shut by itself. It removes the usual frustration of metal tea infusers that are hard to close and easy to spill.
Calmer cleaning
After use, the shell holds residual water and shields your hand from the hot metal filter. Cleaning used tea leaves becomes safer, drier, and less rushed.
Easy to carry, hard to leave behind
The shell also works as a compact case. Its egg-like shape invites a bit of play—and makes Tea Buoy something you want to put in your bag and bring to work or daily life.
